Sales agent assignment improvement

This release includes an important update to how sales agents are assigned to orders created through assisted sales. When a quote is created via assisted sales, the advisor who should own the sale will now be automatically assigned as the 'sales agent' on the resulting order thus preventing missed commissions.

Previously, sales support users had to manually change the 'quote owner' to the correct advisor, a step that was sometimes missed. This update fixes that, ensuring advisors are correctly attributed and receive commissions for their sales without extra manual steps.

To enable this feature two new fields are added to the Create Quote page:

• Owner
• Created By

Feature enablement

This feature is not enabled by default. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to request it.

Setting enablement

The Quote owner must be a reseller. This feature can be enabled from Settings > Assisted Sales > Opportunities > Enforce Reseller assignment to Assisted Sales Quotes.
